If we eat out, I immediately cut the food on my plate in half and take the other half home. If I ever feel tempted by a sweet treat, I only take one or two small bites and then put it away. I think being more conscious of your portion sizes is really important for weight loss.

If you have a craving, wait at least 15 minutes. If it is still there, drink a big glass of water and wait another 15 minutes. If it is still there, have a serving of fruit or some fresh vegetables and wait another 15 minutes. If you still have a craving, enjoy your treat, in moderation, and get back on track immediately.

I always try to remember that if you are not hungry enough to eat an apple, then you are not really hungry. You are bored.

So whenever I crave something, I first ask myself if I would be willing to eat an apple at that point in time. If the answer is no, then I don't eat anything. If the answer is yes, then I allow myself to eat something.

Remember, it takes 4 weeks for you to see a change. It takes 8 weeks for family and friends to see a change, and it takes 12 weeks for the rest of the world to see a change.

There is no quick and easy way to lose weight. Try to eat small meals every 2 to 3 hours. Find a workout routine that you enjoy, and try to do it at least 4 times per week. Stay focused and motivated and you will get there!

I struggle to follow through. I know what I need to eat, and how much I need to eat. I can just get very lazy when it comes to preparing my food. I am very active and enjoy working out, but I know that I would look much better if I followed a healthy diet.

Having a healthy diet is key. Try to cut out bad sugars and extra carbs. I eat 5 to 6 smaller meals during the day and that seems to be working for me.

If you don't want to cut out carbohydrates completely, I would suggest carb cycling.

I have just started carb cycling and I am really enjoying it! I have 3 moderate carb days, 2 low carb days and 2 high carb days per week. On the low carb days, I increase my fat to compensate for the lack of carbs. On the high carb days, I limit my fat intake and almost double my carb intake. My protein stays consistent throughout the week.

Invest in a fitness tracking watch. I have an Apple Watch, but any fitness tracker will do the trick.

It helps to see how many calories I have burned throughout the day, that way, I can make sure that I eat fewer calories than I burn and reach my weight loss goals! I have also programmed my watch to buzz on my wrist when I have been sitting still for too long. This has really helped me reach my goal of 10,000 steps every day.
