Unfortunately, spot reduction is impossible! You cannot decide where your body loses fat. The only way that this is possible is through liposuction!

Try to increase your water intake. This won't help reduce the weight in your legs alone but rather will help with overall weight loss.

I tend to carry the majority of my weight in my calves, hips and thighs. I do know that there is no magic pill or solution to lose weight in just one area, but I am just trying to find out what the best workouts or tips might be to target those areas more specifically. Any advice would be appreciated!

I do a lot of 30-day challenges. You can find plenty of them online for free! I think the thigh and squat challenges have really helped tone up my legs. Eating clean is also very important to lose weight. Try to eat non-processed whole foods, and cut down on your daily calorie intake. I am a few days away from turning 55, and I am smaller and leaner than I have been in almost 40 years!

I try to do at least 30 minutes on the stair master 3 days per week. I find that this has started to pay off. My legs are starting to tone up and slim down. I have even noticed that my pants are getting looser around my thighs.

Get yourself a skipping rope! It will build really dense muscle in your calves and thighs and has a high-calorie burn because it gets your heart rate very high. Unfortunately, you can't spot-reduce fat though.

Thank you. I'm just looking for exercises to target the legs because that is where everything I eat seems to go!

I know that I'm going to get argued with, however, I have a theory that seems to hold true for me. When I do long cardio sessions with repetitive movements, I feel that I am able to spot reduce the fat in a specific area. In my opinion, you are creating a large amount of heat in those muscles, which will then help burn the fat around them. Have you ever seen a distance runner with heavy legs? I haven't, but sometimes you will see that they have excess fat in the arms and stomach. Again, it is just a theory and has worked for me over the years, but I stand to be corrected.

Try doing squats with weights, lunges, jogging or stair master. Those movements usually create a great leg burn!
