What do you do to feel energised after waking up?

Asked 4 years ago

I am definitely not a morning person and I have been trying to wake up earlier to get more done throughout the day. I am struggling with energy first thing in the morning though. What do you do to feel energised after waking up?

Make sure that you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep per night. If you are waking up tired, you probably haven't slept enough. Try to get to bed earlier.

I agree with Savannah. 8 hours of good quality sleep is very important for energy and recovery.

I take a multi-vitamin as soon as I wake up. I have noticed that I get tired quickly when I don't take them.

The first thing I do is drink a big glass of water to get my metabolism started. Sometimes, I will make myself a cup of tea and turn on some upbeat music to wake me up.

I pray, read some scriptures and listen to some good music. In my opinion, studying anything noteworthy in the morning wakes up the brain.

I wake up, have a glass of water and do some stretching, yoga and meditation. That always gets me excited and ready for the day.

I workout first thing in the morning and then have a cup of coffee.

Coffee, good breakfast and then a workout. That works for me.

A big cappuccino and some hype music always get me going!

Try to drink a glass of luke-warm water with lemon slices. It can help boost your metabolism.

Coffee, coffee and more coffee.
