How do you train clients and instruct classes when you are injured?

Asked 4 years ago

I seem to have pulled something in my lower back and I am struggling with any form of exercise or movement. I am a personal trainer and Bootcamp coach and I am not sure how to train my clients and coach my classes without being able to perform the exercises myself. Any suggestions?

During the Bootcamp classes, you could get a member who attends often to demonstrate the movements to the class.

Perhaps you could get a student looking for practical experience to assist you in exchange for a small fee.

Most clients won't mind if you tell them that you are injured and use YouTube videos to demonstrate the exercises.

Try asking one of the other personal trainers at the gym to demonstrate for you.

There will almost always be a member in your class who is willing to demonstrate for you.
